Ruger Precision Rifle 

Long-range, tactical shooting is a specialty of the Gen 3 Bolt-Action Rifle’s design. The Gen 3 Precision rifle’s new, free-float M-LOK® handguard allows for more space around the scope’s large objective lens, and the muzzle brake, which comes standard, has a hybrid port design that cuts recoil by as much as 40–60 percent and redirects muzzle blast to either side of the shooter’s line of sight, improving precision and control.

For maximum rigidity, a 20-MOA Picatinny rail is fastened to the upper receiver using four #8-40 screws, and both the receiver and the bolt are made from pre-hardened 4140 chrome-moly steel. The billet aluminum bolt shroud and the three lock lugs on the bolt combine for maximum strength and a 70-degree throw.

Ruger Precision Rifle 

The Precision MSR buttstock folds left and attaches to a buffer tube in the AR design. It has simple tooth-and-groove controls for adjusting the length of the pull and the comb height.

The buttstock has a rubber buttpad, a Picatinny rail at the bottom, and QD sling attachment points. The rifle can be operated with either hand thanks to its extended trigger reach, AR-style grip, and 45° reversible safety selector, and it is also compatible with any AR-style grip or selector.

Highly accurate 5R rifling runs the length of the cold-hammer-forged, medium-contour 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel. The barrel nut allows for near-tolerance headspacing, and the Marksman AdjustableTM trigger breaks cleanly for pinpoint accuracy.

The third-generation Ruger Precision Rifle is compatible with AICS, polymer AR-10, and Gunsite Scout magazines thanks to its innovative magazine interface. The package contains two 10-round Magpul® PMAG® magazines.
