Reloder 33
Alliant Smokeless Powder is backed by a century of manufacturing experience and the industry’s strictest quality control measures. Ballistic materials are tested and verified in a ballistics laboratory for their composition, grain shape, grain size, and overall density.
built to last by the Swiss company Rheinmetall Nitrochemical It’s true that Reloder 33 shares some features with Reloder 17. The kernels used are infused with the top-secret burn rate-control elements of Reloder 33. So, the pressure curve is preserved, with the late spike adding up to 150 ft/s for a similar dust. Although this powder was developed for use in the 338 Lapua Magnum, it demonstrates excellent performance in other large magnum and ultra-magnum cartridges.
The powdered Reloder 33 is the successor to Alliant’s Reloder 17 kernel-impregnation technology. Nitrochemie also manufactures a drug called Reloder 16 in addition to Reloder 17. Reloder 33 uses a similar secret process to Alliant’s Reloder 17 to impregnate powder kernels with elements that control the burn rate. In addition to a lag in reaching its peak, the pressure curve flattens out. Since this is the case, the powder can produce speeds up to 150 fps higher than any other powder and keep the energy production rate more stable. The Lapua Magnum was the inspiration for Reloder 33’s design, but it can be used with any large or ultra-magnum cartridge.
Some cartridge loads may need specialized propellants to reach their full ballistic potential. Alliant Powder® spent years refining Reloder® 33 in response to this need. This state-of-the-art powder is designed specifically for use in large rifle cartridges like the Lapua Long Range.
Designed specifically for the Lapua .38
Suitable also for a range of large gun cartouches
Superior compatibility to a lot.

Bought to try because retumbo can’t be found . After a few loads , which all grouped good . I found a load that gave me a 5 shoot one hole group at 300 yards with my 338 lapua mag . I made another order for 5 lbs.

This powder so far has exceeded my expectations. I have managed to reach velocities of 3359fps with Federal match Magnum primers and a 175 grain accubond long range bullet with my Browning X bolt Pro long range 28 Nosler with a 1 in 8 twist 26 inch barrel. All loads tested averaged about 12fps deviation and I managed to pull 1/2 inch groups or less at a 100yrds. I settled in with a mid-range powder charge with 3170fps with a 1/4 group. Not sure how this powder will hold up to Temp sensitivity. Last time out I managed to hit three out of three on a 8 inch Target at 1065yrds.
