Hodgdon Pyrodex RS is compatible with all calibers of punched percussion rifles and shotguns. It has the widest range of uses of any pyroex powder. Like other types of pyrotechnics, it produces a cleaner fire and less fouling than black powder. RS is measured against black powder with a 2F particle size.
Follow the reloading manual’s suggested load weights for the best results.
Powders of any kind, from any brand, should never be mixed together.
No black powder or black powder substitutes should be used in place of smokeless powder.
